FAQs

Who is GameSpeed Academy for?

GameSpeed Academy is designed primarily for youth athletes (elementary & middle school), but the training principles apply to athletes of all ages and sports.

Our focus is on building movement efficiency, coordination, footwork, and control — the foundation of athleticism.

What sports does GameSpeed help with?

GameSpeed training transfers to all sports, including:

  • Football (flag & tackle)

  • Basketball

  • Soccer

  • Track & field

  • Baseball / softball

  • Any sport requiring speed, agility, and coordination

We train movement — not just sport-specific drills.

How often do athletes train?

Academy members train once or twice a week at select GameSpeed locations (4 sessions per month).

This schedule allows for:

  • Consistency

  • Skill retention

  • Proper recovery

  • Long-term development

Additional camps, clinics, or private sessions are optional.

Why only once per week? Isn’t more better?

Not for developing athletes.

Quality movement requires:

  • Time to learn

  • Time to adapt

  • Time to recover

Once-per-week training, combined with our structured system and online resources, produces better long-term results than overtraining.

What is the 5-Phase GameSpeed System?

Every athlete progresses through the same development system:

  1. Movement Mechanics

  2. Coordination & Footwork

  3. Change of Direction

  4. Movement Under Pressure

  5. GameSpeed Flow

Athletes are coached based on where they are, not rushed through phases.

Is this program safe for young athletes?

Yes. Safety is a priority.

Training is:

  • Age-appropriate

  • Technique-focused

  • Structured and supervised

  • Built on control before speed

We do not push maximal loads or reckless intensity.

Do athletes need experience to join?

No experience is required.

GameSpeed Academy is designed to meet athletes at their current level and build them up progressively.

What does the online academy include?

Academy members receive access to:

  • Training videos

  • Movement education

  • Technique breakdowns

  • At-home reinforcement tools

This helps athletes and parents understand what we’re training and why it matters.

How is my child’s progress tracked?

Athletes are tracked through the 5-Phase development system.

Coaches monitor:

  • Movement quality

  • Control and coordination

  • Progression over time

Parents know where their athlete is in the process and what’s next.

Are camps included with membership?

Academy members receive access to all GameSpeed camps with priority registration.
Camps may be included or offered at a discounted rate depending on the event.

What if we miss a session?

Missed sessions are not guaranteed to be made up.
We encourage consistent attendance to support proper development.

Is there a contract?

No. Memberships are month-to-month and can be canceled at any time.

How do I cancel my membership?

Memberships can be canceled through your account or by contacting GameSpeed prior to the next billing cycle.

How do I know if GameSpeed is right for my child?

If your athlete needs:

  • Better footwork

  • Improved coordination

  • More control when moving

  • Confidence in athletic situations

GameSpeed is a great fit.

If you’re unsure, start with the Academy or a 1-on-1 session.
